About

The 2nd edition of the Khelo India Para Games is scheduled to take place from March 20–27, 2025, across three venues in Delhi. The event will feature six sports disciplines: Para Archery, Para Athletics, Para Badminton, Para Table Tennis, Para Powerlifting, and Para Shooting. It is expected to witness the participation of approximately 1,200 athletes, 200 technical officials, 150 volunteers, 350 support staff, 300 escorts, and 20 classifiers, representing 36 States and Union Territories across the country.

Features

• Second Multi-Sport Para-Athlete Event: This marks the second edition of a multi-sport national-level para-athlete competition in India. It is expected to match the standards of Khelo India Youth Games and Khelo India University Games in terms of technical excellence, athlete experience, and overall execution.

• High-Quality Technical Conduct: The competition will be officiated by highly qualified technical officials from the Paralympic Committee of India (PCI) and National Sports Federations (NSFs), including professionals with experience in international competitions.

• Live Telecast & Streaming: The event will be broadcast live on television and streamed on digital platforms, ensuring maximum visibility. A world-class Timing, Scoring, and Results (TSR) system will be used to maintain international standards.

• State Representation: Participants will represent their respective States and Union Territories. However, nominations will come from various stakeholders, as done in the previous edition.

• The event will be managed by a team of sports professionals under the guidance of the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports (MYAS), Sports Authority of India (SAI), National Sports Federations (NSFs), Paralympic Committee of India (PCI), and the Organizing Committee to ensure seamless execution and the highest standards of competition.

• Single Medal Tally: A single medal tally will be maintained for all participating States and UTs, ensuring a unified ranking system.

• The Khelo India Para Games 2025 aims to elevate the standard of para-sports in India, providing para-athletes with a national platform to compete at the highest level.
